Mileage and fuel: allowances, options and refueling rules

Example: for a 5-day rental, you have 1,250 km in total. You can therefore drive more than 250 km on some days without any problem; charges only apply if the total distance driven at the end of the rental exceeds 1,250 km.

No. The unlimited mileage option must be added when booking or from your customer account, no later than 48 hours before pick-up. It cannot be added after that, or during the rental.

Mileage is calculated per calendar day, not per hour:

• if your extension takes you into a new date (for example, returning the next day), you get an extra day's mileage allowance;
• if you stay within the same date, no extra mileage is added, however many hours you extend by.

• Early return scheduled before pick-up: the mileage is recalculated based on the new duration (for example, 2 days instead of 3).
• Early return decided after pick-up: you keep the mileage allowance originally planned, even if you return the vehicle a day early.

No, fuel is not included. The vehicle is handed over to you with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. For greater peace of mind, you can take out the Fuel Service option at the start of your rental.

With the Fuel Service option, you pay for a full tank at a fixed price at the start of your rental and can return the vehicle without refuelling.

If you return the vehicle with fuel in the tank, whether a full or partial tank, no refund, credit or compensation is given for the remaining fuel.
